Born in 1972, lives in Alexandria and works as professor head of the painting department at Faculty of Fine Arts, Alexandria University.

Beside his academic career, Kanoush is also the head of ElHorryia Creation Center in Alexandria, member of the higher committee for Luxor Studios and Luxor International Painting Symposium, and he was one of the team responsible for restoring of artworks in the presidential palaces for five years.

He participated in more than forty group exhibitions since 1994 such as: Six Alexandrian painters at Dante Alighieri di Alessandria 1997, Youth Saloon  at Cairo Opera House 2003&2004, Port Saied Biennale (2005/2007/2009), an Exhibition for small paintings at Alexandria Biennale 2005, Alexandria Artists at Alexandria Biennale 2010, Agenda Exhibition at Bibliotheca Alexandrina 2011&2012 and many more exhibitions.

Internationally he has participated in many exhibitions in Jordan 2005, Tokyo 2005, Masqat 2006, Egyptian Culture Center in Paris 2007, Yemen 2008, Beijing Biennale 2008, New Delhi 2009, Ecuador Biennale for Contemporary Art 2012 and Morocco 2014.

He also had nine solo exhibitions in the years 2006, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017 and 2018.

He received many awards for example: First prize at Youth Saloon 2003, Port Saied Biennale 2007 and Luxor International Studios prize 2009.
